My name is Mrs. Roy, and I currently teach General Science, Physical Science, Life Science, Wilson Reading Program, and Reading Comprehension. I also assist in Lower School PE/Healthy for Life. I have a background in Speech-Language Pathology, with a Master of Arts degree in Audiology. I received a Master of Education degree, with a concentration in Special Education, from Lynchburg College. Last year, I completed the Autism Spectrum Disorders Certificate Program at Longwood University. I am currently endorsed to teach students with learning disabilities as well as students with emotional/behavioral issues. In addition, I completed classes at Randolph College and Lynchburg College to earn an additional endorsement to teach middle school science.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy taking my dogs for walks on Blackwater Creek, and puttering around our property in Vera.
